MINE FOR TONIGHT: Book One – The Billionaire’s Obsession

This book is free on most venues. If the book is not free, it is not the choice of the author. Please direct your concerns to the vendor.

Genre: Adult Contemporary Steamy Romance

Down on her luck, nursing student and full-time waitress Kara Foster gets a massive blow to her already desperate financial situation that will surely find her living on the streets. Needing nothing less than a miracle to save her, Kara gets rescue from an unknown, unlikely and overwhelming source. Billionaire Simon Hudson makes her an offer that is impossible to refuse, but terrifying to accept from a man that she’s never met. Will the handsome, alpha billionaire really be a solution to her problems, or will he end up being a major complication and a danger to her emotional sanity?

Reclusive billionaire Simon Hudson would rather be behind a computer creating computer games than rubbing elbows with the elite and he knows exactly what he wants…until he meets Kara Foster. Something about Kara touches Simon in ways he’s never experienced and definitely doesn’t like. For over a year, Simon watches over Kara, but stubbornly refuses to admit his desire to possess her, not even to himself. But when she ends up in a situation that could very well be her destruction, Simon steps up to help her, not realizing that in saving Kara, he might very well be salvaging his own soul.

“Mine For Tonight” is book one of “The Billionaire’s Obsession” . Books in this trilogy do not stand alone and need to be read in order. They include:

Mine For Tonight – Book 1 “The Billionaire’s Obsession”
Mine For Now – Book 2 “The Billionaire’s Obsession”
Mine Forever – Book 3 “The Billionaire’s Obsession”
and Mine Completely – a Valentine’s Day romance featuring Simon and Kara

This is a steamy romance and is not intended for YA readers. It contains steamy love scenes, explicit language and adult emotion not appropriate for YA readers.

K. Hill says:

Mine for Tonight PLOT: Simon is obsessed with Kara. When the opportunity to help her presents itself, he moves her into his apartment. All he asks is one night with her. Only he has to have complete control.PROS: The chemistry between Kara and Simon is hot. Both characters have depth and feel well rounded.CONS: It ends abruptly in a cliff hanger. Book 2 is called Mine For Now. Book 3 is Mine Forever. I haven’t read those and I don’t plan to. Nothing infuriates me more than a cliffhanger. I’m not a fan of this emerging trend of selling a portion of a story. I’d rather buy one longer story for four or five dollars than a group of short stories containing the same characters.2 STARS and a big fat INCOMPLETE stamp: I actually enjoyed the story up until the end. Breaking this into different books would make sense if it were 200+ pages. There’s no reason this can’t be one story. Well, there is one: Money.

Laura says:

I didn’t realise this was ANOTHER Trilogy I’m glad I got this book for free as I was shocked when it ended with no conclusion and I then realised it was part of a trilogy.Simon is a billionaire computer geek. He designs bestselling computer games. He does not like the social scene and is a loner. He doesn’t have relationships but he does have sex. A year ago he saw Kara at his mothers restaurant where she worked as a waitress. He became obsessed with her and in a way stalked her for a year without her knowing. He would follow her home etc. One night whilst watching her he is surprised when she is wearing ‘sexy’ clothes so he follows her. Kara has had a virus that she has not recovered from and as she is walking back to her apartment she shares with another student, she feels faint and dizzy.Simon helps her and takes her to his Condo and calls a Dr. He explains he is her boss’s son but although she knows of him and his brother, she has never met them. Kara is a mature student and is in medical school. She doesn’t have much money and works hard. Simon explains that she can stay with him and he will send someone for her clothes from her apartment. In the morning he informs her that her flatmate had done a runner and had not been paying the rent and had them evicted. Not only that, she had stolen a lot of Kara’s possessions. Simon assures Kara that she can stay with him for the next four months whilst she finishes her studies however, he has one stipulation…that at some points she spends one night with him having sex. After that, he showers Kara with expensive gifts. Simon intrigues Kara. He is not handsome and has some scars on his face but she is attracted to him. After a week of living together, she gives into her attraction to him and they have sex. Simon tells her he likes to be in control and although Kara has very little sexual experience she allows him to blindfold her and tie her up and they have great sex. However, Simon then deposits Kara back in her own bed and that was the end of the story!!It was a good read and hopefully in the other two books we will learn about Simon’s scars, his lack of relationships and why he doesn’t want Kara to see his body when they have sex. I’m intrigued enough to want to read the next two books however, having just checked them out I am surprised how much they cost. I will hold on until they reduce in price.
